First day (February 24th, 2011):
Lectures (9:00 – 12:30):
- Introduction to Networking (2h / Dan Savu)
- The ATLAS TDAQ Network Architecture (30’ / Dan Savu or Brian Martin)
- Advanced Network Monitoring Techniques (case study: The ATLAS TDAQ Network) (1h / Brian Martin or Dan Savu)
Laboratory works (14:00 – 17:00+):
- Network Monitoring Lab ( 1h )
- 3D graphics lab ( 1h )
Second Day (February 25th, 2011):
Lectures (9:00 – 12:00):
- Introduction to Data Acquisition Systems (1h / Luca Magnoni)
- The Atlas DAQ System (30’ / Luca Magnoni)
- Introduction to 3D graphics (1h / Silvia Batraneanu)
- Monitoring the ATLAS Network using virtual reality (30’ / Silvia Batraneanu)
Laboratory works (14:00 – 17:00+):
- Network Monitoring Lab ( 1h )
- 3D graphics lab ( 1h )

Free attendance for the students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (IESC), Transilvania University of Brasov.
